Hiya gnomers, I'm so so sorry this wasn't done to our promised deadline - getting swept up in a lot of other movements. But here goes nothing:
Time Bandits (1981 - Gilliam);
It felt like a children's movie, honestly, however delivered well with an incredible plot. A group of "God's" helpers go through time, with a stolen map full of time loopholes, looting - and a young boy happens on them and joins in the adventure. It had it's brilliant moments, and was deeply Python influenced but there was just something lacking; something slightly off the mark comically..
It seemed to drag on at certain times. As far as children films go, I think it was marvelous - but not nearly as adult, or humorous as I had expected. Maybe the problem was that I had expectations to begin with!
Any ideas on the next movie we should watch?
I love you, girl.
